James Pike, Newton Abbot, an 18th century mahogany and ebony crossbanded longcase clock, the hood with moulded cornice and square fluted columns, the trunk with ogee arched panel door and canted angles on a box base, the 28cm all brass dial signed James Pike, Newton Abbot, the 30-hour movement striking to a bell, 193cm high.

Overall condition is very poor. the case is heavily stained with paint splashes. The cross banding to the door is missing in several places. including the box base. The feet have been reduced. The pendulum is in two parts and is missing the tensile steel spring to the top. the cheeks to the seat board have been reduced. The dial needs a good clean. we do not know if the clock is running.
